printingcharitylogo.gifThe Printing Charity – Change of Name

Our change of name came about as a result of a project undertaken in conjunction with Cass Business School City University.  After much research it was felt that the old name of the Printers’ Charitable Corporation was too limiting and suggested, erroneously, that the only people eligible to make a request to us were those who had actually been printers.

‘The Printing Charity’ title was seen as more encompassing and would appeal to those working in the allied trades who could also come to us for help. With our ultimate aim being to help more people, we hope the change of name will encourage those who are eligible to contact us so that we can offer any assistance we can.

On March 23rd. 2010, The Printing Charity was officially launched at No 11 Downing Street.

Our old logo (pictured left) depicts a Christian image of an angel watching over a family and is very much of its time i.e. similar to a stained glass window in a church in the early 1800's.

Our new logo represents the Charity as it is now - that is all encompassing and willing to help those from the printing trades regardless of origin or creed.
