As we get older, our houses, which have for years been our refuge and sanctuary, can sometimes become a burden. Perhaps it is the cost of mortgage or rent, the spiralling costs of maintenance or a feeling of loneliness that can come when families move away or when we retire from a place of work.
In times like these it is important to look at our options and perhaps consider a move to sheltered accommodation or a nursing home if greater assistance is needed day to day.
