Print Futures Awards

The Print Futures Awards 2012 are now open for entries!

Applications welcomed from people already working or intending to work in the UK print, publishing and graphic arts industries

The three sponsors, Unite the Union, The Printing Charity and the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) are calling for entries to the Print Futures Awards 2012. The closing date for entries is 31 May 2012. See www.printfuturesawards.com

The cash grants of up to £1,500 each are to help people aged 16-30 years who are UK residents and already or intend to work in the UK printing, publishing and graphic arts industries. The non-repayable cash awards are for fees and associated costs to undertake part-time and full-time training or degree courses.

Steve Sibbald, Unite National Officer, says: “Applications are particularly welcome from people already working in the UK print industry, who are on low incomes and want to undertake short courses or training sessions to develop their skills and improve their earning capacity.”

Successful applicants will receive their awards at a printing industry event at the House of Lords on 11 July 2012.
