Legal & General supports our work with a £500 donation

Our fundraising received a major boost recently with a cheque for £500 from Legal & General.

31 Aug 2010

The donation came about following a presentation about the charity’s work by Stephen Gilbert, our Chief Executive, at a PIPS (Printing Industry Pension Scheme) meeting of representatives from the printing industry.

A member of the PIPS Management Committee, Legal & General has a long- standing relationship with the printing industry’s pension scheme, which it has administered since 2000.

Darren Jeffreys, Legal & General’s representative and PIPS Scheme Manager, says: “As part of our involvement with PIPS, we’re very happy to support a charity directly related to the printing industry.”

Darren formally presented the cheque to The Printing Charity at a PIPS meeting.

Stephen says: “I would like to thank Barry Dixon, Secretary of PIPS, for inviting me to speak to printing industry representatives about our work and Legal & General for this very generous donation. Under our Helps grants programme, the money will support a printer experiencing hardship this year.”
