A well-known figure to many in the printing industry, having lectured and held the post of Deputy Dean at the LCP for over 30 years

Bill Offer was unanimously elected our Chairman for a second term at our AGM held at Southwood Court, Basildon. He has been on our Board of Trustees since 1998.
Bill says: “I’m looking forward to continuing my long association with the charity and working with it to achieve the ambitious target it has set to help 2000 people nationally by 2017. We need more people to know that the charity exists to help people in the printing and publishing industries.”
He is the third generation of his family to work in the printing industry. He began his printing career in the Bindery at Odhams Press in 1956, followed by five years as Bindery Manager at the Shenval Press. In 1968 he was appointed a lecturer at the London College of Printing and in 1979 he became Deputy Dean of the School of Printing Technology, a post he held for over 30 years.
The charity’s Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2010 were also approved by members at the AGM. They show the charity has a balanced budget and helped over 540 people financially, up from 349 in 2009.
