Sheltered Homes

Our sheltered homes in Basildon and Bletchley offer purpose-built, retirement accommodation.

If you are retired, aged 60 or over and you have worked in printing, packaging and publishing for at least three years, you may  be eligible for residence in one of our two purpose-built, sheltered homes.  See About our homes for more information or contact our Welfare & Wellbeing team on 01293 542820 / support@theprintingcharity.org.uk

We also provide financial support for people living in residential or nursing care homes.

We appreciate that people may not wish to relocate and move away from family and friends. The Elderly Accommodation Counsel (www.eac.org.uk) can help with advice about housing options and care needs. They can be contacted on 0800 377 7070 or email info@firststopadvice.org.uk.

Another source of useful information is Housing Care (www.housingcare.org). They aim to help older and disabled people make their own decisions about where to live, and consider any support or care they may need. Information is available about maintaining, adapting or improving your home; finding care or home help services; moving to retirement, sheltered or extra care housing, or to a care home; plus advice on paying for any of these. It is an independent service delivered by non-profit organisations, led by the Elderly Accommodation Counsel.
