“Your help has improved my hopes for the future” Linda’s story

Linda had an extensive print industry career, working within the newspaper industry for over two decades.

She made contact with the Printing Charity after struggling with her health, and a change in her circumstances.

A positive impact on overall wellbeing

Linda explains: “A friend suggested I reach out, and I am so pleased I did. The financial help I received has been phenomenal.”

She continued: “I have been able to keep my car on the road and buy some items of furniture for my new flat, and afford some days out away from the house. It has improved my overall wellbeing, and my hopes for the future.”

Peace of mind with unexpected costs

Following a period of extreme cold weather where Linda lives, she received an additional winter weather payment to go towards the cost of needing to use more energy as a result.

She said: “It has been very cold and windy here, and I was worrying about how much energy I am using. The payment allowed me to stop worrying, and have some comfort.”

Linda is clear on her advice to anyone considering whether or not to get in touch with the Printing Charity to discuss the support they may need.

She says: “I would advise anyone struggling contact the Charity. Their help and support has been invaluable.”
