In response to the unprecedented financial and emotional impact of Covid-19, we are extending our free, confidential helpline service with a particular focus on SMEs in the sector.

This will enable them to give their staff access to the type of employee assistance bigger organisations can provide.

Our 24/7/365 telephone helpline offers:

  • In the moment counselling from British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counsellors
  • Advice and guidance Monday to Friday from information specialists

The free service covers a range of areas from dealing with debt and housing issues to addiction and stress.

“In these times of great anxiety and change many people are feeling overwhelmed so access to practical and emotional support is important”.

Neil Lovell, Chief Executive, says: “We had planned to introduce our helpline through a phased roll-out to SMEs over a longer period, but since this pandemic began we have stepped it up a gear, working with industry bodies such as IPIA and BPIF to communicate to member companies.

“We want to hear from business owners who want to support their staff through the helpline. We will talk them through the service and ask them to support the roll-out to their staff on site and those who have been furloughed. Their staff’s immediate family members in the same household can also access the service.

“In these times of great anxiety and change many people are feeling overwhelmed so access to practical and emotional support is important, not just for today’s challenges but for what might be round the corner, too.”
