Sonia was signposted to the Printing Charity by another charity for support as a result of her print industry history. She made contact at a point when she was struggling with a number of challenges. “I wrote a letter,” she recalls, “and your help has been going from there.”
Clearing debts and regaining financial control
She was finding it hard to cope with a number of expenses, but the charity was able to help her take control of these, so she could get back on her feet.
“Once that was sorted out, I’ve been able to sort things out myself,” she explains. “I’ve managed to clear my debts over the years, which has reduced my outgoings, and now I feel I’m on an even keel, and I don’t have the same worry.”
A charity especially for people in the printing industry
Thinking about others who may be in a similar situation to her, finding it very difficult to clear debts and regain financial control, she says: “If you’ve been in the printing industry, and you need any help, remember, it’s the Printing Charity, for people who’ve worked in that industry.
“They’ve helped me all these years, and I don’t know what I would have done without them. I’ve been down and depressed, but the charity has sorted things out for me, and I’m now getting on well. If people have been in the print industry, I’d simply say, get in touch with the charity. I’d give anyone that advice, because of all you’ve done for me in the past. I’m so grateful.”
The Printing Charity is here to help people in print when they need support to get back on their feet. Sonia’s story shows this is possible by starting a conversation to find out about the help that’s available – which starts with a conversation.
