Robyn Benham

Designer, Coveris UK Paper

Art graduate Robyn became interested in graphic design at Northumbria University and after a period as a freelance designer joined Coveris to work on sustainable packaging solutions.
Her award will be invested in training on design and brand identity with a view to boosting her skillset, helping her progress in her career and work towards her ambition to become a senior designer or brand manager within the Food Packaging industry.

Erika Budreviciute

Account Manager, Northern Flags and Faber Exposize UK

Erika entered the world of print as an office administrator at Northern Flags. She has quickly picked up industry knowledge, becoming an account manager. She plans to use her funding to pay for specialist sales training accredited by the Institute of Sales Management. Her ambitions are to keep learning about print, clients and suppliers and enjoying this fast-paced industry.

Lauren Raftery

Client Services, Northern Flags and Faber Exposize UK

Law graduate Lauren works as an account manager at Northern Flags having previously worked in recruitment. She plans to use her award to gain training in account management and communications skills, helping her to build greater understanding of her role. She believes this training will help her maintain strong relationships with existing key clients as well as building new ones.

Jake Ross

Copywriter and Social Media Executive, Solopress

Jake joined the printing trade as a copywriter and is now the editor of Solopress’s internal newsletter. He wants to develop his writing skills, particularly when it comes to social media. He’s using his award to pay for two courses, one to learn social media strategy and the second to immerse himself in a day of copywriting inspiration with experts. His ambition is to become better at telling print industry stories and writing compelling content on Solopress activities.

James Whitestone

Self-employed

James came into the printing industry following a spell in packaging design. He now runs his own independent letterpress print shop, producing prints using a combination of digital and analogue techniques and will use his award to buy a new drum sander for his studio. His goal is to revive the lost skill of levelling printing plates, allowing better quality historic letterpress printing and he will also seek to pass on these traditional skills through workshops and events.
