Sheltered Housing Manager

 

We’re currently looking for an experienced Sheltered Homes Manager for our scheme in bletchley near Milton Keynes.

Beaverbrook House, located in Bletchley near Milton Keynes, is a purpose-built sheltered living development for people aged 60+ who have retired from the sector and can live independently. The accommodation comprises 32 one-bed apartments of a high standard, for individuals and couples.

As Sheltered Housing Manager, you will have daily responsibility for the scheme and the management of the building, ensuring the health and safety and wellbeing of residents to ensure a safe, happy and community-focussed environment. You will act as the link between residents, their families and other agencies, signposting them appropriately and following up on outcomes. You will manage a small team including maintenance and cleaning staff and will be the main point of contact and reference for third party contractors, ensuring compliance including health and safety whilst on-site.

To apply for this role, you must have significant experience of working with older people in a housing or care-related field. You will have previous people management experience and able to work autonomously, managing and prioritising your own workload.

You will have extensive experience of building positive local relationships with a range of organisations, including statutory bodies and other community groups, to maintain our already strong local links and network. Overall, you will be a warm, engaging and approachable social care professional, passionate about ensuring a high quality and supportive environment for older people.
